My people perish because of lack of Knowledge. The Nigeria man (male and female) loves God more than any other nation in the world, yet he doesn’t enjoy HIM much, because he really does not know HIM. They would go to different mountain tops, from one prophet to another seeking answers to life’s questions, when all the while the simple answer they so seek, is conspicuously written in almost every chapter of the Holy Book, but they would not meditate to know, they’d rather seek another mortal’s help for what is already available for free. As the saying goes, if you want to hide something from a black man put it in a book. This should not be your experience in the New Year.
Knowledge is power, yet the Nigerian man relinquishes this power by being ignorant of the basic rights which he is entitled to. He strives in ignorance, under the disguise of poverty, hopelessness, and a failed system. Yet knowledge is a weapon, a weapon that brings boldness, boldness to challenge the status quo, to challenge the failed leadership, in action, in voting without prejudice or mediocrity, in ignoring vote buying because it equals selling your soul. A weapon that births courage to stand for one’s right. Let us seek knowledge, knowledge on our fundamental human rights, knowledge on the voter’s right before, during and after the election, knowledge that we can put the leadership on its toes to align with our utmost desires.
For every relationship with God, Man, Institutions or States, terms and conditions are always applied so seek this knowledge to be a wise partner.
Please Seek Knowledge.
Knowledge has a beginning, but no end, so let us keep learning. Learn new skills, new technology and new ways of doing things. Continuous learning is an important element to a successful life. In the coming year be a lifelong student, the more you live, the more you should learn. Remember, facts will not cease to exist because you ignore them. No one is entitled to ignorance, you are entitled to your informed opinions.
Ignorance is a disease, it is always afraid of change, it is the root of all evil and where ignorance prevails there is a slim possibility of real peace. Ignorance deprives people of freedom, it is the possessor of absurdity, pride, annoyance and vanity. Ignorance is a sin, but Knowledge puts away the sin. In all thy getting this year, get Knowledge. Like air, knowledge is everywhere, it is vital to continuous existence. Like air no one should be denied of it.
Finally I leave you with one of my favorite quote from Lao Tzu
“To know that you do not know is the best. To think you know when you do not is a disease. Recognizing this disease as a disease is to be free of it”
