It saddens the heart that the front pages of national dailies are now filled with tantrums thrown at one another by people that should be role models. They have shown us through this action of blame sharing that they only care about the rosy times and can not stand whatever comes with temporary displacement. The national cake, they think, would always be in their oven(s). In numbered tweets, I shared my random thought on why the present name calling and finger pointing in the PDP is the fare needed for their journey to the deepest part of "our past". 1. The display of public madness by elders in Africa's largest political party is a pointer to their impending journey into the abyss. 2. Rather than go back to the drawing board and have a SWOT analysis, they are playing the blame game. The only thing they are known for. 3. This is why I want to believe that the party will be nowhere to be found by 2019. 4. The party has shown they lacked what it takes to move on. They do not understand the teachings of "failing-forward". 5. No "national leader" with the altruism needed to be a rallying point for revival. 6. No one is ready to sacrifice for the sake of the party. They didn't learn this from the beginning. It is excusable that they lack values. 7. As much as we desire to have a strong opposition in the country, I do not see the PDP providing that. They lack the vigour. Intellectually! 8. For this reason, I believe the country's ruling class would only be "driven" by morals rather than the opposition on their tails. 9. The opposition that will "wrestle" power off the hands of APC will be from either of two platforms. Could be from both, anyways. 10. A section of people due to internal cracks in the party. We can't pretend all be rosy for the party. We must be realistic. 11. Or a solid youth front that will rise unconsciously due to conscious activities and genuine interest in politics and governance. 12.
